Der Cabestation

So following in Bojan's footsteps, here are a couple snapshots of my workstation!

Here's the wide shot. Trashcan on the right, plastic drawers for all my important stuff... Cause I have many important stuffs... I have a cup and a pencil/pen holder on the drawers. The pencil/pen holder is a recycled candle holder. The frame above my desk contains a ticket for the very first event I ever planned.

Here's a closer shot. Laptop, second monitor... I have my notepad for note taking because I like rebelling against technology sometimes. Pens make me happy...

Here's what you see on the left side of the desk. My galleon business card holder... my tiny filing system and my chess clock. I use the chess clock to track time on other things when I'm forced into multitasking. For instance, when one standup meeting bleeds into another.

And that's my workstation! Alright guys, who's next?

Workplace

I love posts about workplaces so I thought I'd share mine and hopefully you'll share photos of your workplace as well :) I'd love to see them.

Here is my current workplace. Small but just big enough :)

What you see is an iMac, my primary machine and where I do most of my work from home. I use both a trackpad and a mouse. Using both means less strain on my hand through repetitive motions.

I have an old iPad, which is used mostly for racing games :D but also comes in handy when I design apps and now with the boom of responsive web design, I use it frequently to test websites I make.

There's also an external hard drive below this old desk, where backups are stored so I don't lose any of my work.

I use Moleskines for writing and sketching ideas, mockups and wireframes.

You can also notice I use an exercise ball for sitting. I had a bit of a back problem a couple of years ago and since I started sitting on the ball those problems are gone.

So there you have it, my workplace :)

I think that Spring Roll Monday went well

Hey everyone,

For those of you who didn't come into the office on Monday, I had a special treat for all those hard workers that did come into the office on a Monday. I brought in some Spring Rolls via request from Adam. I think everyone who joined in had a good time, wouldn't you say?

For those of you who don't know yet, I'll bring in random "Soul Food" from time to time into the office for those who show up into the office that day. It could be at any time and any day of the week but it's never announced so the more times that you're in the office then the more chances you'll get to experience this Bixly exclusive event! I hope this encourages everyone to come into the office more frequently.

Leave in the comment section on what you would want next time for this Bixly exclusive luncheon.

Jared and Adam racing for the greens!
Jared adding special "hot sauce" on his spring roll.
Adam's getting his Spring Roll action on!
 Dave's tearing it up!
 I think he's saying "hello" but I couldn't tell.
Nick's "Monster Roll". Add everything in large quantities and "Wahlah"!

Bixly's First Arcade Tournament

Hey everyone! If you haven't heard about the Ms. Pacman tournament here at Bixly, please check out the attached flyer... We may have added some stuff we kept secret. You're definitely gonna want to start brushing up on your skillz.

Also, per the flyer I have changed my name to Kaleb. Because it is infinitely cooler...

Who: Open to all Bixly, Axlea, ZebraPark employees (except for Vana, he's too good)
What: Ms. PacMan Arcade Tournament
When: February 6th thru February 10th, daily from 9AM to 4PM
Where: Bixly Office
Why: because there's a grand prize for you, durh!

No sign up is necessary, just advise Vana or Caleb when you want to play so they can officially take the scores. You may play up to 3 times within the week and take the highest score.

This... so much this

Keeping it topical for those in the Philippines...

If any of you know this guy... please give him a hug for me.

I know this isn't any of us... but it was too awesome to ignore.
